Counselling Conversations for Individuals

Each person we meet with has their own reasons for coming to see us. Any person can come for a Counselling Conversation about any aspect of their life that they wish to understand better and change. Some common reasons are listed below:

  • Relationship difficulties whether at home or work.
  • Recurring unwanted feelings such as anger, anxiety, depression, helplessness or low self- esteem.
  • Struggles with grief.
  • The desire to change unwanted and destructive behaviour such as addiction or excessive drinking.
  • Abuse.
  • The search for a better life through growing and developing.
  • Any other problem that you think might benefit from being discussed with someone.

How We Work

We would like to meet you for half an hour to see whether Counselling Conversations are right for you and to answer any questions you have. This first meeting is free. During it we will establish and agree together what you wish to work with and how often you need to come. Usually we start with between four and six as the initial number of sessions. Thereafter we will agree and review extra sessions as needed.

Cost and duration

  • The opening Counselling Conversation lasts for 1/2 hour and is free.
  • Counselling Conversations for Individuals cost £40/45*.
  • Counselling Conversations last for 50 minutes unless otherwise agreed.

*The full fee will be payable unless 48 hours notice of cancellation is given, this may be waived at the discretion of Counselling Conversations
